Nov 27 2036: Conference Play Begins and Recruiting News - by owinb08 on January 29th, 2024

The Bridgewater State Bears have completed their non-conference schedule, finishing 8-2 with impressive wins over Division 2 schools California Baptist(79-72), Albany(88-74), and Fort Lewis(61-51). Bridgewater State would remain 6-0 at home during this stretch. During this period, the team has secured the commitment of two major recruits. 2-star point guard Demarco Pennington, from North Brookline High School in Massachusetts, and 1-star center Elijah Harrison, from South Haverhill High School in Massachusetts. Pennington is a 5'11 well-rounded point guard, also able to play as a shooting guard or small forward, with a high IQ and solid shot. He is averaging 10.5 points per game in MIAA Division 1. Harrison is a 7'0 former 2-star prospect, capable of playing both center and shooting guard. He is extremely versatile for his size, possessing great athleticism and a good shot, projecting to be a less traditional center. He has averaged 9.9 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Both players are up against elite competition in high school as well, playing in Massachusetts Division 1. They will both make great additions to a program graduating 8 seniors next season.
