Prestige: colleges that have won more and acquired greater prestige will have a bonus in recruiting. Rock's statement: Pretty sure I posted a suggestion back in the beta. I was saying to give prestige based on initial levels. So LL-1 teams would have had very high prestige, while LL-6 teams would have none. That's if we had done it at the start. At this point I don't think it makes sense anymore since a lot of low level teams were handed all-star squads at the start of the game and just flew up the ladder. I remember stated something about PP advantage, but not specifically. Do prestige points (PP) degrade over time? If not i would like to suggest this: -We all agree that a team won conference/league should get PP. But IMO its not fair if the points will stay forever when the team don't won any competition (anymore) in the future or if the team change ownership. The new owner will enjoy fruit of prestige overtime. -So i agree with Rock's there would be initial PP: Say like LL6=0 LL5=3 LL4=6 LL3=9 LL2=12 LL1=15 -In addition champion of league will get PP depends on LL (higher league get higher PP). Also champion of Tournament will get slightly higher PP. -We can add max PP can be reached by a team or PP cap in short. -Next addition is PP will degrade, say like -2 points every season until they reach initial points based on League. -More addition can be added, like: + PP if a team can recruit one or more 5 stars prospect. PP will reset to initial league points if team change ownership. Updated Monday, June 24 2019 @ 3:09:54 am PDT |

HC chance = interest level go down President chance = prestige go down Is it weird? PS: Even when go down (president change), the prestige will only reduce to initial value (depend on league). So PP of LL X is (generally) higher than PP LL (X+1). Updated Thursday, June 27 2019 @ 2:09:55 am PDT |

If Duke got a new president of sports operations, there wouldn't be a sudden drop in prestige for the program. From a mechanic perspective I understand what you are saying, but from the narrative perspective it doesn't really make sense. Otherwise I think the rest of what you propose makes sense. Although the numbers might need some additional balancing. Prestige should be a more difficult ladder to climb for new up and coming schools. Updated Thursday, June 27 2019 @ 6:15:17 am PDT |
