So if you player has 2 fouls in the 1st half, if his foul trouble hook is set to 'none', he just keeps playing. If it sets 'quick', then he'll sit until the 2nd half begins. If it's 'average' or 'slow', then he'll come back with more time left of the 1st half. Likewise, in the 2nd half, if a player picks up his 4th foul, he will sit until some time left in the game. For 'none', the player wouldn't sit. For 'quick', 'average' or 'slow', then the player will come back at specific time left in the game. One final note, the number of fouls and time thresholds are different between starters and backup players. Backup players have a longer leash. Steve |

I don't like my starters getting pulled 1 minute into the game. Will a "slow hook" get the guy back in pretty quickly, like a short cool down period? Do they certain for a set amount of time, or is it a time milestone? e.g. my starter gets pulled at 18:45 after a second foul, does he come back in at 16:45, or are we forced to wait until the clock hits 10:00? |

Rock777 Joined: 02/02/2018 Posts: 1532 Inactive ![]() | I had been testing out my Center with a quick hook last game. Here is is hook/return history with "quick hook". 8:32 - Game Event: Time out. Petrenko must sit with 2 fouls. 0:15 - Game Event: Time out. Worcester Polytechnic Institute substitutes ... Petrenko to Center. 9:54 - Game Event: Time out. Petrenko must sit with 4 fouls. 5:53 - Game Event: Time out. Worcester Polytechnic Institute substitutes ... Petrenko to Center. I assume it brought him back in once the clock went under 6:00 because it tries to get all starters in for the end of the game. He didn't come back in the first quarter until under 1 minutes left. Is that because it forced him to "cool down" for 8 minutes, or because quick hook means wait until less than 1 minute remains? |

Foul Trouble Hook: determines how long a player is benched for if they get into foul trouble. Updated Monday, November 12 2018 @ 9:30:45 am PST |
