Blink 182 Joined: 01/29/2022 Posts: 38 Penn State Nittany Lions III.4	Rivalry Games The process of setting up rivalry games seems a tad cumbersome. I suggest limiting the drop down menus when selecting an opponent to only teams that do not already have a rivalry game with a human-managed team locked in for that week. The president of the selected team would receive a message prompting them to approve or deny the rivalry request. Furthermore, it might be nice to have a president-defined filter that each president could use to indicate which level teams they would be willing to consider rivalry requests from. Essentially, I’m proposing that the system become more user friendly and to eliminate the need for messages between presidents and forum posts to find willing rivals. I’ve been trying to fill all four rivalry games for about two seasons, and individual messages and forum posts have yielded little interest. Conference-specific Forum on Conference Page It seems odd to me that there is no forum on each conference’s page specifically for the presidents of that conference to say “good game,” talk smack, or generally discuss the season. I know these forums exist in the general forum area, but I’m sensing that the average user doesn’t frequent that area much, whereas the conference page seems like it would be a regular destination for most users. I feel like this type of forum could help to increase the interactions/dialogue between presidents, which currently doesn’t exist if you are uninterested in using a third-party for communication [raises hand], such as Discord.

Since leagues 2, 3, 4 and 5 have 9 teams that circulate out of the league every season and leagues 5 and 6 probably have half of the teams in the conference being AI I have to wonder how much use a conference forum that is accessed off the conference page would have. Better to just change the main forum to contain separate forum sections for each league, 1 2, 3, etc and see how much use that would get before committing to program something for 63 individual conferences in the game. League 1 and 2 might get a lot of use but the others, I don't know. You could create separate forums on the main forum and then put a link pointing to them in the conference standings page. That might promote more usage on the main forum, but I'm betting it won't. Updated Thursday, October 5 2023 @ 11:33:58 am PDT
