First one is good
Don’t love the second one, just because I feel it is a bit unrealistic
Suggestion: add a clutch gene. Hoe it would work is that 10 would be the average clutch. Each skill point over or under 10 would result in a 2% boost in all skills. Example: 6 clutch, -8% skills. 20 clutch, +20% skills. Clutch would only be activated when up/down 5 points or under with less than a minute to play, or the whole game in conference championships or tournament games. Obviously this could have a huge impact, so maybe 1% increase/decrease. Most people would be around 10 and it would have minimal impact, but some players could have really high or really low. Scouting reports would be: Struggles in high pressure situations and doesn’t feel pressure.

How about some comments about a players confidence? E.g.,

"Has an ugly girlfriend"
"Not afraid to shoot his shot"

New player so may not be an issue, but an indication of whether the prospect wants to be a big fish in a small pond or hang on to the coat-tails of stars would be a good differentiator for prospects in terms of their willingness to go to strong/weak teams.
