Helloo,

Not sure if this been suggested before - but inspired by Naph's pre-season previews of both II.1 and II.2 in discord (and also sort've copied from another game..), I thought it'd be fun if 1 of the non conference games could become a "conference challenge". Where all 16 teams in a conference play all 16 in another. Ideally matched against an equal opponent by respective TPI, and ideally each conference gets 8 home and away games.

You actually couldn't have 2.1 and 2.2 face off, as then 1.1 would be left out...So I suppose you have 1.1 play the top halves of 2.1 and 2.2 (that's not perfect though, the 8th midtable in both LL2 conferences will always be better than 15/16 in 1.1...maybe there's a slightly better way of matching up these 3 conferences). Down the pyramid it becomes more simple though where each LL3/4/5/6 are just paired with another at the same level.

Not sure if it's easily programmable, but thought I'd throw it out there!

Would mean 1 game per non-con is always against a team who should be similarly matched. Thought it could get a bit of discussion going. Introduce a bit of "conference pride" & could give you a preview of a team you'll go on to face in the post season National Tournament for the top teams too.

Awesome idea that invokes the conference challenges of real life CBB.

Sorry, I do not support any nerf of presidential scheduling freedom.

Schedule vs. champions, schedule vs. cupcakes, schedule the IU-Butler slice of the Crossroads Classic using the Rivals button and Up/Down/Any button...and so on. Perceived opponent strength of schedule is what it is.

It is quite extraordinary to read a suggestion to remove existing strategic choices, customization, individualism from Hardwood.
