"Game Management" on the left menu - tick the box under the "Red Shirt" column for any you want to RS this season, then they can play up to 5 official games (exhibitions don't count) but won't play more than 5 and next season they'll get the "RS xx" as their "class".

Redshirt player has one more season to develop. You can play that player only for 5 games.

How do you un-redshirt a player?

The 3 players I redshirted in 2021 are still showing the RS. I want 2 of the players to play is there something I need to do?

These players will always have the RS next to their class distinction as they are now called redshirt freshmen, redshirt sophomore, etc. It just means they have redshirt in the past, not that they are redshirting currently.

If you want them to play, you need to make sure of two things:

1. They are listed at a position on your depth chart, preferably one of the top two spots. The third stringers sometimes do not get playing time and it is very rare for a 4th or 5th stringer.

2. Make sure their minutes are not 0 in Game Management.

Also Grover didn't redshirt last season.

According to the rules, "For younger prospect, there is a soft cap that reduces the effectiveness of a large number of contacts" - what does it mean the younger prospect, and a soft cap? Maybe only fr prospects and a certain number of points? how much? do we know?
Thanks

This is only an educated guess based on observations - but there appears to be a soft cap for freshman prospects and a less soft cap for sophomores. Generally, I have seen a drop-off in interest after 20ish contacts on a freshman and around 40ish on a sophomore. This is really based on only a few recruits so it certainly might not be accurate but I think it is close. I haven't noticed it at all on Juniors.
