So I'm need some input and help. I haven't had a lot of player development thus far this year. I know my head coach isn't the best at it but he I'd amazing in everything else.

Here is the dilemma, I'm thinking of replacing on my my Assistant coaches for one that is. Better at development. The problem is, it is either the one who has been with my team for 10 years or the brand new coach of 0 years. Both suck at development.

The thing is, the seasoned assistant says he is a poor Developer BUT he is good at offense and defense and an Excellent recruiter. The development is key as my head coach is an elite recruiter, but I need 2 assistants who are good at development. I have 1 but need a second one.

Which on do I replace? I'm leaning toward replacing the seasoned coach ad he may leave us soon for a HC job, but him leaving May effect my recruiting also.

Need some input and help!!!

First, let's talk about coaches in general. How does it work? Well... We don't know yet. There are 3 potential options:

if your HC has Dev 3 and others assistants have 16, 15 and 14

1) Sum of skills - it would be something like 3 + 16/3 + 15/3 +14/3 = 18
2) plus the best - it would be something like 3 + 16/3 = 6
3) something in the middle - it would be something like between, who knows

Second, is there a limit for the skill? Again, We don't know.

It's really up to you what will you believe.

So, you can keep your coach current head coach but for sure you should fire Art Livingstone and Marcelo Barbosa. Nathan Vogel is the guy you want, he brings to the table development. I would target coaches with at least good development and some other skill your HC could improve but development would be my main focus because he's decent in any other aspect.

Isnt there supposed to be a decline? This guy is 83 years old with a recruiting of 16

and no "He is already at the age where his recruiting has declined."

Must be Hardwood’s version of Rick Pitino where his basketball program’s recruits visit strip clubs and gets escort services. Or perhaps emulates any other shady NCAA coach with some under the table cash.
