That's not to say I don't think they are the favorite at this point. This got me thinking... What do you think is the biggest accomplishment? 1.1 regular season title, 1.1 tournament title, or national title? I'm going with 1.1 regular season title. |

Anything less is just a win. Which is nice but it's not the same as winning all 3 in the same season. Theres a triple crown in horse racing and only 13 horses have won it. The first in 1919 and the most recent in 2018. The 3 triple crown horse races have been in existence (together) since 1875. Thats 145 years of being able to win the horse racing triple crown and it took 49 years for the first winner to appear. Theres also a triple crown in major league baseball. 17 players have attained that honor so I guess winning a triple crown in base ball is easier, yeah sure it is... The first was in 1878 and the last was in 2012. The NL and AL were formed as separate legal entities in 1876 and 1901, respectively. Beginning in 1903, the two leagues cooperated but remained legally separate entities. So there have only been 17 players in 144 years that have won the MLB (batting) triple crown. (Theres one for pitching but I don't even know what 3 stats are involved so hitting is the most important imo.) (I'm thinking it might be wins, strike outs and era.) Of course there are triple crowns in many other sports but those are the 2 most famous I think, but maybe I'm wrong. So when a team in HW can win all 3 titles then they can be the first and the best of the best. Anything less than a triple crown winner isn't even worth discussing. Cheers... ![]() Updated Saturday, May 23 2020 @ 9:21:44 am PDT |

My team has always had failures in the national tournament though so maybe thats just me. | ||
