Would it be possible to base substitution also on a players fatigue level? As an example, if a starter reaches light, medium or heavy fatigue then the substitution comes in to the game and will play until the starter regains stamina (which I don't think they do regain stamina but I may be wrong on that.) If we could actually see (by minutes played) how long a 5 stamina or a 3 stamina guy can go in a game then it might make it easier to set minutes instead of guessing how long each stamina number can play. |

Not sure how it might affect the current game engine though. Either way, I like the concept. +1 | ||

Probably the coach would ask the player how he feels and of course the player would say he feels great but then the coach wouldn't be asking if the player was looking and playing real good or up to his normal standard. That could probably be a real life scenario. But in HW, I would probably say that if fatigues does indeed diminish a players game play and apparently it does to some extent, then if light, medium and heavy fatigue game performance really is progressively worse with each level then when those levels are reached or the number that represents each level in the Ai is reached, then the player would be replaced when the set fatigue level set in the settings is reached. You could probably replace the A, B, C substitution rotation and have replacement be based on fatigue. That way the center wouldn't be replaced after he plays 1 minute, lol. That might even resolve which players will be in the game at the end when it's often crunch time so to speak. Of course I know nothing about the programming aspect of things and how difficult that might be to do, but realistically, if realism is desired that could be the way to do it. But then HW really is great as is and it wouldn't be a big deal because most of us have some sort of idea about how long a guy with a specific stamina can play and we set the minutes accordingly. Some managers don't even care about fatigue.. Just a thought. Updated Wednesday, September 27 2023 @ 11:19:33 am PDT |
