Notes: As a high school recruit, Berry "Mustang" Ford garnered the attention of Dominican president gards710 and the coaching staff very quickly. So much so that they were willing to risk their entire careers on his signature to play for the Penguins. And play for the Penguins he did. Joining forces with another Ford, Marques, the two were hard to distinguish on the court, with similar styles of play (although they were not hard to distinguish visually). Seen as perhaps the next golden superstar following in the footsteps of Hofmeister, Choate, and Marshall, Ford was either destined for greatness or to disappoint. Berry wound up being a key member, and sometimes the star player, on some of the most successful teams in program history, including the 2038 National Championship team, where he was mostly a super-sub off the bench. His accolades include two other Final Four appearances in 2037 and 2040, 6th in scoring average, 5th in total points, 4th in minutes, 5th in steals and average steals, 3rd in total 3 pointers, 4th in average 3s, 2nd in total +/-, 3rd in average +/-, and 7th in Player of the Game awards. Berry went on to be selected with the 21st pick to the pros, after graduating with honors with his Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics, with his thesis "How to Build a Championship Team Around Expensive Stars" having been published in the Hardwood Times. We merrily induct Berry "Mustang" Ford into the Dominican University of California Hall of Fame! -gards710 |

Notes: Will Clevenger was one of the first recruits that President Gards710 signed, and perhaps the best. Wanting to stay close to home, Will chose Dominican. After redshirting his first year, he developed into one of the most feared and well-rounded players in whatever conference he was in. He led the Penguins in scoring from his redshirt freshman to redshirt junior seasons and is the program's all-time leading scorer in both total points and points per game as of this writing. Although his only individual award was the 2016 V.3 Freshman of the Year, Will was never about the individual accolades. His team first philosophy is most evident in how far the team has gone with him - rising from Division 2 to the middle of Division 1, a national championship in Division 2, a league title, a conference playoff championship, and four national tournament appearances. Simply put, he was the best player during the most successful run in program history. After receiving his degree in Philosophy with a Senior Thesis on the Greater Good, Will became the first Penguin to be drafted into the Pros, being selected 9th in the draft! We wish Will all the best in the pros and will be cheering him on! We happily induct Will "Get His Revenge" Clevenger to the Dominican University of California Hall of Fame! - gards710 |
#3 - Randy Watson [ID #165255] C |

Notes: Randy "Rockstar" Watson's impact on the Dominican program cannot be overstated. He was the most impactful player on the 2038 National Championship winning team, the first for the program in Division 1. While his recruitment was a bit of a battle, the staff at Dominican was honestly not sure if Watson was going to live up to the hype that had been built around this rockstar. Sure, he had size and seemingly had skill. But he just wasn't developing as many at Dominican had hoped. Would he live up to the lofty high expectations of many previous bigs and 4-and 5-stars that came before him? Would he perform? Once he got to campus, he not only lived up to them, but when the lights turned bright, he shined even brighter. Just in a new and different way. While not the most impressive statistically due to some early conditioning issues, Watson has perhaps the most impressive postseason resume of anyone in Hardwood history. Having been a starter for most of his freshman season in 2034, the team made a surprising run to the Final Four. After redshirting his second season, Watson returned to the lineup in 2036 and Dominican went to the Elite 8, followed by another Final Four in 2037, and finally, the National Championship win in 2038. Was Watson the sole reason, or even the main reason, for these runs? Probably not. But he was the common factor. Watson may not have played enough minutes to accrue the stats of other players in the Dominican Hall of Fame, but he still winds up at 4th overall in total points as well as blocks for his career, despite no seasons in the top 5. He was also sixth in total rebounds. Not surprisingly, Watson tops the program in +/- total for a career. His "only" individual accolades are two All Tournament selections in 2037 and 2038. The Rockstar will always be beloved on this campus for his tremendous efforts. And after being drafted by Miami in the second round, the Music History major joins a long list of Penguins in the pros. Give a raucous welcome to Randy "Rockstar" Watson to the Dominican University of California Hall of Fame! -gards710 |
#4 - Bill Marshall [ID #155337] PG |

Notes: Responsible for the newest edition of the greatest individual season by a Dominican Penguin, "Fire Marshall" Bill Marshall's 2034 season will be remembered as one of the most exhilarating in program history. FMBM, as he was so affectionately known around campus, was not the most heralded recruit until very late in high school. But the coaches at Dominican could tell very early that he was going to be special. But not even they could forecast what was to come. Marshall developed into one of the greatest flamethrowers to ever step foot on a hardwood court thanks to his sniper-like abilities and ability to do it all with the ball. During his redshirt sophomore season, Marshall entered the starting lineup, moving ahead of more senior players, and established himself as the go-to guy. And the precocious future pro helped guide the team to a surprising Final Four appearance. After that, it was the FMBM show at the Conlan Center, He helped DUCA survive in Legends in his junior season, leading the way with 22 points per game en route to All-Conference and All-American selections. And in his senior year, FMBM took control of games not just through his shooting and scoring, but through his ability to make plays for others as well, as he averaged over 7 assists per game manning the point guard position. And what a senior year that was. Again, it is the greatest individual season in Dominican history, and that's saying something considering the senior seasons that Marcus Choate and Brian Hofmeister had, seasons that garnered them National Player of the Year honors. While Marshall did not receive that distinction from the press, he did earn that from the Coaches Poll, as well as All-American and All-Conference. Marshall was also All-Tournament in 2036 after leading DUCA to the Elite 8. Marshall's 2036 season tops the all-time total single season points list by nearly 100 points over Choate's 2027 (1,201), set the single season average record at 25.0 ppg, set the single season POTG award record (28), and pushed Marshall to 3rd on the all-time list, behind Choate and Hofmeister, as Marshall became the third player in DUCA history to break 3,000 points for his college career (3,026). Marshall also became the most prolific three point shooter in program history, surpassing Choate in single season average and total, becoming the only player to break 4.0 threes a game (did it twice), the only player to break 200 threes in a season (231), and surpassing Choate in career average (3.2) and total (566). Marshall ranks top 5 in assists and minutes in a season, and top 10 or 20 in numerous other categories. We send FMBM off to the pros where he was drafted at 18th overall to the Boston Celtics, with a degree in Environmental Sciences with a focus on Fire Management and we jubilantly induct FMBM to the Dominican University of California Hall of Fame. -gards710 |

Notes: What can you say? The Hof did it all. He carried the team to an appearance in the National Title game in his sophomore season, where only a leg injury stopped him from living up to his nickname and expectations. After being snubbed from Freshman of the Year in 2022, he went on to be a 3x All-Conference selection in Legends, 2x National Player of the Year, Conference Player of the Year, All-American, and All-Tournament selection, having swept the awards in his senior season, after having led Dominican to the 2024 Elite 8. He graduates with his degree in Marine Science, as well as the program lead in points scored, steals, three pointers, and Player of The Game awards, all by wide margins. Hofmeister then became the highest pro selection in program history, having been selected by the Boston pro team at #1 overall, accomplishing what he set out to do when he first committed to Dominican. We joyfully induct Brian "Rings" Hofmeister to the Dominican University of California Hall of Fame! - gards710 |

Notes: As one Penguin great was on their way out, another stepped foot onto campus. While The Hof and Choate played together in 2024, Choate took a backseat to Hof's epic senior season. Meanwhile, Choate still won the Legends Conference Freshman of the Year with a stellar year that showed he could be even better than Hof. The following season was tough, as Choate was the only player capable of handling the competition in Legends. And while Choate was the leader of the only team to demote in gards710's tenure in 18 seasons, Choate's senior season was also the greatest in Dominican history as he lit up every opponent to the tune of what one president called "the most fearsome" shooting season of all time. Choate led the Penguins to one of the all-time best seasons in Hardwood history, with a 43-4 overall record, 28-2 in conference, and a Final Four appearance. The "MC Goat" was one of the most decorated players in Hardwood history. He was a back-to-back National Player of the Year (2026-2027), 3x All-American (2025-2027), 3x All-Conference Selection (2025-2027), the 2027 II.2 Conference Player of the Year, and a 2027 All-Tournament selection. Choate finished his college career as Dominican's all-time leader in points, minutes, three pointers, three point percentage, steals, Player of the Game Awards, plus/minus, and was even top 10 in rebounds. With a degree in Business Administration, Choate was selected with the third overall selection in the 2027 draft by the Brooklyn Nets, where he is having a stellar career. With all that said, we induct Marcus "MC Goat" Choate to the Dominican University of California Hall of Fame! - gards710 |
#35 - Bruce Spann [ID #88377] C |

Notes: The first high profile recruit to sign with the Penguins, Bruce was one of the most important players to ever walk campus. Being one of the rare cases in program history of not redshirting his freshman year, Spann had an immediate impact as a four year starter. Although he redshirted the national championship season the next season, he made crucial appearances in two national tournament games that season. Spann had such an enormous impact that he wracked up 32 Player of The Game awards, tied for the most in program history at the time of his graduation, despite averaging just 24 minutes per game. While some would say that Coach Rahsaan 'Rafiki' McCartney's system held Spann back, it helped Spann stay fresh and efficient and he's now remembered as one of the most skilled and impressive big men in Penguin history. He is still second in program history in rebounds, 12th in points scored, and 6th in blocks. Having graduated with his Bachelors degree in Political Science, Spann was selected fourth by the Toronto pro team, joining his former teammate Will Clevenger on their roster and becoming the highest selection in Dominican program history at the time. We cheerfully induct Bruce "Covers the C" Spann to the Dominican University of California Hall of Fame! - gards710 |
#54 - Angel Reyes [ID #96264] C |

Games 180, 10.8 ppg, 64.7% fgp, 7.4 rpg, 1.2 spg, 1.2 bpg, 21.1 mpg |
Notes: A gargantuan presence for the Penguins throughout his tenure, Angel made an immediate impact with his imposing physical frame and athleticism. His physical measurements are those of myth. Once one of the most efficient players in Hardwood history, he helped Dominican rise all the way from Division 2 upon his commitment to Legends after surprisingly leading the team in scoring in his redshirt junior season in 2021 as a first time starter. Reyes finished his career having amassed the program's 10th most points, the 6th most rebounds, the third most blocks, the field goal percentage leader by far, and the 4th most Player of The Game awards. His degrees in both Spanish Literature and History and Architecture will shine ever brighter than his accolades on the court. Perhaps even bigger than his gigantic frame was the huge impact he had with others. He terrorized many presidents who had to game plan for him. Meanwhile, Angel's biggest fan, Baggins, is one of the most successful presidents in the game, having drawn inspiration from Reyes as he has built the La Verne Leopards with Reyes in mind. Therefore, we heartily induct Angel "Redbull" Reyes to the Dominican University of California Hall of Fame! - gards710 |
