Notes: All-Conference SG - V.14 (2015) A hidden gem as a 2-star prospect, the amazing career K.J. put together proves that ratings aren't everything. According to the reports, he only had 10 potential... but after changing positions from PF to SG, Farrell truly blossomed as a player, growing far faster than the scouts predicted. A lockdown defender and mid-range sharpshooter, K.J. was instrumental in lifting Methodist out of V.14 and back into Division 1. He graduates as our all-time scoring leader, dropping 2509 points over his four-year career as a starter. |

Notes: 2019 Draft: Round 1, Pick 26 2x All-Conference PF - IV.7 (2018, 2019) An efficient, athletic player, Jeremiah Halverson was seen as Methodist's next big thing coming out of high school. He had big shoes to fill after the graduation of Clint Kristensen. Thankfully, he was up to the task. Though he was originally brought in as a SG, it was at Power Forward that Halverson truly blossomed. He was a tenacious interior defender and excelled at attacking the boards (board man gets paid, after all). That plus his ability to finish over much taller defenders earned him the nickname "Lil Big." He only got better as time went on. In Jeremiah's senior year he averaged a double double: 17 pts, 11 reb. He graduated as a 182 SI PF. Selected 26th in the 2019 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic, Jeremiah is the first player from Methodist to make it to the League. |

Notes: All-Conference - IV.7 (2013) All-Conference - V.14 (2014) The first star this team ever had, Clint served as team captain for three of his four years at Methodist. He was extremely gifted physically, with a perfect combination of strength, speed, and hops that made him a nightmare at both ends of the floor. Perhaps on another team, he would have been a great forward... At Methodist Clint was often forced to play center, not his natural position. Still, he was an absolute beast. |

Notes: At 6'11½" and 240lbs, the young man more commonly known as "Jelly" had all the physical tools to succeed at the college level. But, coming in as a freshman, things did not initially look bright for him. Though his size had him projected as a Center, his guard skills and lack of rebounding made it a poor fit. To win the role he was meant to play, Jelly would face extremely tough competition; the Monarch depth chart, fresh off a record-breaking recruiting year, was absolutely stacked at positions 1-3. Versatility & bench production kept him in the rotation. Later, when his highly touted teammates failed to live up to the hype, Jelly stepped up to the challenge. Having played all five positions in his time at MethU, this young man was the centerpiece of the Monarchs' first run in the II.2 conference. And now, I am pleased to introduce our next selection to the Methodist University Hall of Fame... #55, Jeremy "Jelly" Ellis! |
