I want to apologize to everyone. Previously, Lorenzo Garza's contract expired early this year and he planned to resign after the season change. After talking with him about the recruitment part, he finally decided to sign three-year contract with Virginia Tech, The new contract is confirmed to be executed in 2038.

Lorenzo Garza announced his resignation from Virginia Tech after the 2037 season. The school confirmed the news. There are many candidates for the new head coach, including three assistant coaches.

Lorenzo Garza originally planned to rest for a while. The president said that the school affirmed that Lorenzo and three assistant coaches would assist player development, and finally signed a for for many years contract extension. The new contract will be executed from 2033 until the end of 2037.

Garza said that he talked with the school to do his best and the coaching staff to lead the players and the team's performance
