Press Releases:

Mar 25 2006: Horrible Season. Reinforcements Coming Soon! - by biggestmarquettefan on June 5th, 2019

In taking over a program that only had one scholarship player returning, Marquette performed admirably with nine late addition recruits - all two stars.

While the results were often disheartening, Coach Samuel Spencer lined up a stellar three-man recruiting class. Norm Walton is the 5-star headliner who will start immediately at the point. Instate big guys Rodrick Ellison and Trevon Watson have great builds and will both start after a redshirt season.

The junior class looks promising with legitimate interest from the some of the top players in the Midwest. With six scholarships available, expect the Golden Eagles to sign a minimum of four players to keep the rebuild going strong. Priorities include a top-notch shooting guard and multi-dimensional small forward. Coach Spencer is also looking for some shooters off the bench.
