Virginia State headed into 2024 with a new direction, head coach, and focus. Brady Dean was hired and led the team to a 4th place conference finish with an overall record of 25-17. This was a vast improvement over the 10th place effort from a season ago with an overall record of 20-22. Coach Dean was excited saying "we did really well in conference play with a 19-11 record versus last year at 15-15. Losing our all conference small forward and team leading scorer and three point shooter Jack Rice will be tough but we are looking forward to carrying momentum from 2024 into 2025. We are looking to build a solid roster around returning all conference power forward Oliver Nieminen". Look for the trojans to be a conference front runner again in 2025!

We want to be able to push this program in the right direction from here forward. We are excited to have new President Cory Dunn on board. He didn't waste any time in trying to find a new coach that he felt could help this program develop its existing players and incoming talent. We also believe Terence Fingers will be viable in recruiting to bring the talent necessary to move from a mid pack team to being a conference front runner.

Virginia State is heading to the Conference Championship. They will face Pfeiffer who upset Wisconsin - Green Bay. Virginia State looks to take home the Conference Title and go into the National Tournament. Go Trojans!!
