Mar 23 2045: 2044-2045 update - by Michal on May 27th, 2025Well, that’s a terrible way to start contending for D1. 11-30, awful. We are excited for winning level 37 of the invitational tournament. Besides that, we’re hoping our seniors find international competition because they are good, but not NBA level. Carlos Perdomo is our best player and he is a senior next year so we are looking forward to finding diamonds in the rough. Coach Jarad Buchanan has done a respectable job of keeping the season afloat for us. We are expecting to be able to find a long term replacement to coach Lloyd Van Dyke soon. He is going to be inducted into the Texas Hall of Fame this month along with Tre Johnson! (Disappointing that he never played in the round of 64!!)

After 29 years as our head coach, we have announced that Head Coach Lloyd Van Dyke has officially been released of his duties. We thank him for his leadership and his commitment to the program. We’ve very excited to announce that Dane Goonch has been hired. His great overall performance and his age are key factors in this decision. We hope that our recruits will be able to make this transition smoothly. Also, our recruiting staff will be focusing on the state of Texas and 3 star international prospects. We are very excited about the future. A #13 seed and the VI.31 regular season and conference tournament championships. Also, our staff is getting ready for great games next season. Arkansas, Oklahoma, a new opponent in Northern Illinois and our biggest game against A@M! Also, our Athletic Director is keeping us in the best possible position to contend in D3!
