Nov 07 2018: Southern Indiana Suffers First Loss - by Tiller on April 22nd, 2021

Southern Indiana (6-1) lost a tough battle against #2 ranked Missouri-Kansas City (7-0). Southern Indiana trailed by 15 at the half, but rallied back in the 2nd half before coming up short 88-79. Southern Indiana gave Missouri-Kansas City their first real contest of the young season. Through the first 6 games MKC defeated their opponents by an average of 47 points per game. Southern Indiana senior center Marcus Douglas led all scorers with 24 points. He also chipped in a game high 12 rebounds. The senior is averaging 20 points and 10.4 rebounds on the season. President Tiller was pleased with his teams effort. “Any loss is hard, but I thought our guys played really well tonight, especially in the 2nd half. I think this game will really help our team prepare for conference play which is right around the corner.”
