Press Releases:

Apr 01 2013: Strange Awards - by Gambit on July 2nd, 2020

Steve Strong is the first All American in the history of the Vikings program. However, he did not perform well enough to make the All Conference team. I feel like this is something that does not happen very often.

Mar 21 2013: Great Season, Sad Finish - by Gambit on June 29th, 2020

The Vikings did better than expected in their first season in Div 1. Placing third in their league was a pleasant surprise and the Vikings look forward to getting closer to that pinnacle of Div 1.I league.

While the conference playoffs did not go great, the Vikings still made it to the National Tournament. They were fortunate enough to get some luck and win a couple of close games and make it to the Sweet Sixteen. Unfortunately, two of the team's three seniors fouled out early in play and the bench could not recover. A disappointing finishing for an otherwise surprising season.

Feb 14 2013: Game that clenches advancing - by Gambit on June 17th, 2020

The next game for the Vikings is the biggest in the history of the college. If the Vikings win they will have a three game lead with only four games left in the season, essentially clenching an advancement position in the league. A loss results in only a one game league and the team must dig deep for the rest of the season.

Exciting that something like this could happen in an injury riddled season.

Mar 11 2012: Three Consecutive Conference Championships - by Gambit on May 1st, 2020

Thanks to a lucky break, the Vikings were able to win their third consecutive Conference Championship. I'm not sure how many other teams have done this, but I do not imagine many.

Feb 18 2012: Advancing to Div 1 - by Gambit on April 23rd, 2020

After being stuck in Div III and trying to rebuild season after season, the Vikings got into their rhythm and advanced two seasons in a row and will be in Division I next season.
