Averaging 21.1 points per game, the versatile star played a new role this year, being the outside scoring threat as a senior after having been an inside star as a soph and again as a junior.

Coach Luter wished Howard success as he enters the NBA Draft, but he is considered to have at-best an outside chance to hear his name called.

Down by a 34-32 count at the half to lowly Colorado School of Mines, The Fort Lewis Skyhawks delighted the home crowd with a 51-13 2nd-half beatdown that featured a 28-0 run and a 10-0 run, quickly turning the game into a runaway 83-47 victory.

Center Isiah Smith scored 16 and yanked down 16 rebounds while Trevor Howard and Steve Jorgenson tied for the scoring lead with 18.

"Best show of the year!", exclaimed Fort Lewis head coach Irvin Cameron after his Skyhawks eked out a 96-90 victory over Eastern Illinois.

Morris' big scoring night, with 16 of 24 shooting, 6 of 8 from behind the arc, was much needed as the Eastern Illinois Panthers shot almost 54% as a team.

Future Fort Lewis players:

Stu Daigle, 5'11" guard from Loveland High School in Loveland, Colorado. Rated a 3-star prospect by Hardwood News, scouts believe he'll grow to 6'7". Daigle is ranked #9 in the state.

Donnie Locke, 6'6" post from Lindbergh HS in Fishers, Indiana, expected to grow to 6'9". Rated a 2-star prospect, He's ranked #49 in Indiana, and scoring a hair under 13 ppg and over 10 rebounds his senior season.

Geoffrey Heck, a 6'7" 2-star prospect from Hamilton HS in Los Angeles. Possessing a 40' vertical leap and very quick, he could very well develop into an all-around multiposition player.

It is hoped that this trio will shore up the Skyhawks inside.
