Jan 04 2024: Tusculum Prevails over UMass Lowell - by vergil14 on February 11th, 2022

It is now back to back wins for Tusculum as they finished off the UMass Lowell River Hawks. Huge contribution off the bench from Jason Fennell as he is awarded with Player of The Game with 9 points and 9 rebounds and shooting 100% from the field. Along with the help coming from Johnny Johnson as he scored 17 points, Luther Hunter contributing with 12 points. Also with Leo Rodgers for 11 points and Oliver Graber
with 10 points, as a squad they managed to outrebound the opposing team with 36 rebounds comparing to UMass Lowell's 24 rebounds.

UMass Lowell managed to put up a good fight but wasn't enough as they couldn't make their free throws nor their three-pointers. Dan Clement managed to put up 15 points along with "Money" Darryl Ware scoring 14 points, and both Ron Napier
and Myles Callahan contributing 11 points.



Dec 30 2023: Tusculum battled it out over South Alabama, 62-44 - by vergil14 on February 10th, 2022

Tusculum's first win in the conference play against the South Alabama Jaguars, lead by Oliver Graber with a double-double. Contributing with 14 points and 10 rebounds, only missing one shot. Along with the supporting cast of Johnny Johnson and Luther Hunter combining of 20 points, Bert Giordano on the defensive-end with 3 steals and Jason Fennell with 11 points off the bench. Tusculum outscored and out-defended their opponents only shooting 57% as a squad with a combination of 22 steals and blocks.

It was a nice effort from Toby Kelly as he tried to lift South Alabama, contributing only 13 points and shooting 60% along with 2 steals and 2 blocks but it wasn't enough.

After going 2-1 in exhibition, the Pioneers start off the regular season at 5-2 currently 3rd in the conference. Currently ranked 29th overall in DII, the Pioneers look to keep the momentum flowing and make a push at the DII title this year and earn a promotion to DI.
