The Golden Eagles have had a rough season thus far but Coach Stephens has been on a hot streak of bringing in recruits this season! After Senior James Hart leaves as the lone senior we will have 4 new golden eagles come into the flock and a possible chance of one more to that total. Also the upcoming season we look forward to hosting Oglethorpe, BYU, and Virginia Union in the inaugural D3 Challenge presented by Colonel Sanders
Mar 21 2015: Best Season In School History - by haydawg16 on October 18th, 2020
After the 63-62 loss to the 1 seed in the D3 National tournament the great run has ended. The Eagles finished the season with a 34-12 record, which is the most wins in a single season. The Eagles came away with the Conference title and ended with the 8 seed in the National tournament. The team was led by Jimmy Nielsen who started all 43 games this season and averaged 13 pts and 11 reb per game and had 20 player of the game awards.
Next Season we will be bringing in possibly the best recruiting class ever in Spalding history and looking for another deep run.
