Mar 26 2037: Mancuso Out, Rockwell In - by mavstar21 on March 4th, 2024
After 18 seasons at the helm with little to no success, Wisconsin-Superior today said farewell to HC 'Dirty' Harry Mancuso.
Mancuso is rumoured to have been released due to some suspect recruiting tactics over the past couple of seasons. "Look he's a nice guy and all, but there's gotta be consequences when you drop 160 contacts and all you end up with is a couple of bricklayers from out of state" said team president mavstar21 at the presser.
All is not lost for Mancuso though, with industry insiders stating he recently got his skippers ticket and is heading to Connecticut to work as a deck hand on the Mitchell Commitment Yacht.
Mar 08 2036: Nothing to see here - by mavstar21 on January 4th, 2024
Minor ripples washed around the Hardwood universe today after Mitchell President Rradley903 released a manifesto casting aspersions on many of Hardwood's most beloved coaches and presidents.
When confronted by the media about his alleged role in referee tampering and his background in robotic engineering, Yellow Jackets coach Harry Mancuso refused to answer any questions. Mancuso was later spotted having a heated cell phone conversation before removing and destroying the simcard.
Meanwhile, controversy swirls around Mitchell's own recruiting ethics, with footage of 4* commit Tony Samuels attending a lavish party on the "Mitchell commitment yacht" groggily signing school enrolment papers.
Jan 05 2036: Mariners sink at Lake Superior - by mavstar21 on December 16th, 2023
Yellow Jacket fans were rejoicing after defeating old rival Mitchell last night by 10 points, with Craig Dobbins getting it done at both ends of the floor.
Things got spicy in the post match press conference however, when Mariners coach Garry Dobson asked why he spotted Yellow Jackets coach Harry Mancuso handing referee Ray Chamberlain a thick envelope after a game which had a lopsided 27-10 foul count. "Not at all - that was just me handing out the last of this seasons' Christmas cards" Mancuso responded.
Chamberlain was later spotted at the Superior Toyota dealership putting down a cash deposit on a new Corolla.
Mar 06 2031: Rule appeal incoming?? - by mavstar21 on March 28th, 2023
After going down to Mitchell in the first round of the Conference tourney, Wisconsin-Superior is considering an appeal to the HBICBRE (Hardwood Board of Imaginary College Basketball Rule Enforcement) to remove academic requirements for scholarship players after their season was derailed due to a combined 8 game pair of injuries to star Point Guard Ricky Bingham. Bingham sustained a shoulder injury reaching for a book on the top shelf in the library whilst cramming for exams in an attempt to raise his grade average. Coach Mancuso was overheard muttering, 'he should have just used chat GPT...that is how I do all my game planning'.
With Bingham out, the Yellow-Jackets pulled FR Billy Pennington out of his dorm room where he had been playing table soccer for the last two months straight, and he duly delivered a classy 6 assist/7 turnover game and was a witches hat on defence, letting Frank Buckley drop in a career best 8 three pointers.
Following the loss to the Mariners, Coach Mancuso took the team to Lake Inferior (Actually just the dam out the back of his house) for a bonding session, with frothies & a barbie, but only served up the home brand snags, saying - gourmet sausages are reserved for winners!
Mar 28 2020: Single Game All Time Records - 2020 Update - by mavstar21 on July 28th, 2021
With the 2020 season coming to a close, Rick Findlay has turned off the olympics for 10 minutes and dusted off the game logs to update the records. The biggest statistical standout of the update is the prolific output of Jake Archer since his move to SG. In one season he logged 3 of the top 5 single game scores and topped 33 on 8 occasions.
When approached for comment about his season Archer responded "All these big men on the scoring list have it easy. I wish I could be 7 feet and just run and dunk on people". Fellow high scorer and slandered big man alumni Adam 'Reach' Leach responded on socials "He's right, it is easy being big. Thanks mum & dad".
