Hello guys. Why has this player been ignored by all NBA teams ? Is it because of his height or the fact that he played in Division 2 ? Should he have been drafted ? What is your opinion.

He may be a little short as an NBA wing.

NBA teams are incredibly biased towards tall people, as shown by the 146 SI player that was drafted.

Do I think he should have been drafted? Maybe, I can pick out some players who were drafted that I think he's better than.

Am I surprised he wasn't? Sadly no...the HW draft really favours height and 13+ potential. Most of us who've played for a while will have an example. In my case the best of this type that wasn't drafted is Ryan Roth - http://onlinecollegebasketball.org/player/127234

But then it didn't like Pruitt either who's 6'7½" - http://onlinecollegebasketball.org/player/150852

Even the bigs it favours height/potential too much - look at where Canales (the best big in Legends since ??) was drafted.

(One day I'll run the human run HW draft that I've thought of, I just need to properly work out how it'll work and a scoring system...)

I would gladly draft for a pro team. Long as I don’t have to set tactics :)

Highly developed 12-pots do get drafted, but not always. Pedro Olivares got drafted off my team with a similar SI as a 12-pot, but he was 6'9.5" which is probably the difference here. For what it's worth, I would take your guy over a number of the drafted players.

Happy that 5'10 1/2 Makinen went early in the second. We may have one of the taller teams in HW each season but we are not an NBA factory here. Last draftees were Hill and Hackett who were Seniors my first season in 2020.

This kid barely played in college. Who the hell knows what NBA scouts value in a player. It's not like they come back to campus and give inspirational talks...
